The new S. Firestone Boulevard is scheduled to open at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, July 13! This will permit through traffic in both directions all the way between Artesia Boulevard and Alondra Boulevard (via Marquardt Avenue) underneath the Valley View Avenue Bridge. Please note the on ramp to southbound I-5 from S. Firestone Boulevard remains CLOSED. Photos & map below:
Workers continue construction of the bridge soffit (deck underside) of the next section of the second half of the bridge. The contractor is also constructing support columns for the new Valley View Ave. on ramp to southbound I-5 and the S. Firestone Blvd. off ramp from the bridge and constructing a pedestrian crosswalk on the first half of the bridge.
