The latest portion of pile driving activity at Bloomfield Avenue will conclude next Friday, Sept. 11. On Friday night, Sept. 11 crews will be moving the crane to Rosecrans Avenue bridge to begin pile driving operations at that location. In order to complete this work safely, this work will require at least two weekend (daytime) closures on Rosecrans Avenue at the I-5, the weekend of September 12-13 and September 19-20.
Crews will close Rosecrans Avenue to through traffic underneath the I-5 freeway from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, to move the pile driving crane into position in preparation to begin work Saturday morning. The northbound I-5 off-ramp at Rosecrans Avenue will also be closed during this time.
Rosecrans Avenue will remain closed to all through traffic underneath I-5, daily between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13 and the following weekend, Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20. Pile driving operations will take place daily between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13 and the following weekend, Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20. Please be advised this work may be loud and disruptive due to equipment noise, vibration and pounding relate to pile driving activity.
Rosecrans Avenue will be open between 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 and 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13 and the following weekend between 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 and 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.
