Rosecrans Avenue will be closed to all through traffic (motorists and pedestrians) in both directions underneath I-5, nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday, October 10 through Friday, October 14. These closures are needed as crews begin pouring columns and installing falsework on the Rosecrans Avenue bridge. Rosecrans Avenue closures will continue weeknights, Monday through Friday, intermittently for the next two to four months. Fore detailed detour information, please see below or visit the project Google map.
Pile driving activity is underway adjacent to northbound I-5 near Rosecrans Avenue. This work will be conducted intermittently for the next several months, Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. As this work is underway, flaggers will be on site to direct traffic, while crews transfer piles from the contractor’s yard onto the construction site. While transferring piles, portions of Bloomfield Avenue, between Rosecrans Avenue and Markdale Avenue may be temporarily blocked during the daytime. Pile driving activity is needed as crews construct structure foundations for the new retaining walls and soundwalls in the project area.
