On Friday, June 2 crews will begin work to reconstruct the sidewalk on N. Firestone Boulevard, between Rosecrans Avenue and Markdale Avenue. The sidewalk in this area, shown on the map below in red, will be closed for the duration of this work and there will be no pedestrian access while crews reconstruct the sidewalk to match the new street alignment. This work will be ongoing for approximately three months.
Beginning the week of June 4 crews will perform nighttime work to install overhead freeway signs along northbound I-5, in the center median of I-5, and along the sidewalk on eastbound Rosecrans Avenue, west of Bloomfield Avenue. Please be advised, this work may be loud and disruptive.
Rosecrans Avenue may be closed to all through traffic (motorists and pedestrians) in both directions underneath I-5, Monday through Fridays between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Nighttime closures on Rosecrans Avenue will continue intermittently for the next six months.
For full closure and detour information, please see the Google map below.
