An extended weekend closure of westbound Rosecrans Avenue, is scheduled this Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14. Westbound Rosecrans Avenue will be closed to through traffic underneath the I-5 freeway, from 9 p.m. Friday, June 12 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 14, so crews can complete work to reconstruct portions of the roadway prior to opening the new Rosecrans Avenue on and off-ramps, which will occur at the end of the month.
DETOUR: Motorists traveling west on Rosecrans Avenue will be detoured to turn left on Carmenita Road, turn right Alondra Boulevard, then right on Bloomfield Avenue to access Rosecrans Avenue. The detour route is highlighted on the map below.
