Crews are preparing to shift the southbound I-5 lanes of traffic (between Pioneer Boulevard and the Silverbow Avenue pedestrian bridge), onto new pavement along the widened, outs ide portion of the freeway. This traffic shift is tentatively scheduled to take place in May. Additional information will be provided once this work is scheduled.
Construction activity is ongoing on several sound walls along the northbound and southbound I-5. In addition, work continues on the frontage roads along the northbound I-5 (Adoree Street) and southbound I-5 (Southbound Frontage Road). In the next few months , the contractor is working to open Adoree Street to allow through traffic between Norwalk Boulevard and Imperial Highway.
