On Monday, March 6, crews plan to close the northbound I-5 on-ramp at Imperial Highway for 12 months. Motorists will be directed to use the northbound I-605 on-ramp at Firestone Boulevard, then transition back onto northbound I-5, as an alternate while the northbound I-5 Imperial Highway on-ramp is closed. The closure area is shown in red on the map below; the detour route is shown in green.
Pile driving activity adjacent to the northbound I-5 near Imperial Highway, will resume on Monday, March 6 and will be ongoing for approximately the next six weeks. This work will be conducted intermittently, Monday through Fridays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Please be advised that pile driving work may be loud and disruptive due to equipment noise, vibration and pounding related to this operation.
As crews work on Imperial Highway, Norwalk Boulevard and Pioneer Boulevard bridges at I-5, one lane in each direction will be closed on each street (at I-5) during the daytime, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
