On Thursday, Aug. 6 crews opened Adoree Street, between Norwalk Boulevard and Kalnor Avenue, to through traffic.
Crews have completed demolishing portions of the San Antonio Drive and Imperial Highway bridges at I-5. On Sunday night, Aug. 9, crews will begin work to demolish the old portion of I-5 that bridge across Pioneer Boulevard. Demolition activity will be conducted at night between 9 p.m. and 6 p.m.; Pioneer Boulevard underneath the I-5 freeway bridge will be closed to through traffic at night, while demolition is under way.
Nighttime demolition of the old Pioneer Boulevard bridge at I-5 will begin Sunday Aug. 9 and will continue for approximately five to seven nights (please confirm schedule). Pioneer Boulevard will be closed to all through traffic underneath I-5, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 9 and should be completed by Thursday, Aug. 13.
During the daytime, partial lane closures (one lane in each direction) on San Antonio Drive at I-5, Imperial Highway at I-5, and Pioneer Boulevard at I-5, may be in effect, weekdays (Monday through Friday) between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Work on Union Street, between San Antonio Drive and Paddison Avenue, is ongoing and will be underway for a few more weeks. Union Street is being widened, sidewalks will be reconstructed and the street will become a cul-de-sac adjacent to San Antonio Drive. Access for local residents will be maintained at all times. Construction activity is also ongoing with several sound walls along the northbound and southbound I-5. In addition, work continues on the frontage roads along the northbound I-5 (Adoree Street) and southbound I-5 (Southbound Frontage Road).
