Beginning last week, construction crews began clearing vegetation, forming retaining walls, and moving construction equipment along Spry Street and Arlee Avenue. This work will be conducted weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and will be ongoing for approximately three months. Residents are advised to take precautions to ensure pedestrian and roadway safety. Please be advised, work may be noisy due to construction equipment moving on- and off-site, truck back up alarms, and other construction related noise.
Today, August 26, crews began pouring curb, sidewalk and driveways along Mondon Avenue between Tina and Pantheon Streets. Residents with new driveways must park on the street until Monday, August 29, while the cement cures. Residents in the area have been notified and parking enforcement for the city of Norwalk will not be issuing citations to vehicles parked on the street during street sweeping hours.
As crews work on Imperial Highway, Pioneer Boulevard and Norwalk Boulevard bridges at I-5, one lane in each direction will be closed on each street (at I-5) during the daytime, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
