Adoree Street and Frontage Road, have both been opened to through traffic between Imperial Highway and Norwalk Boulevard.
Construction of the retaining wall along Mondon Avenue, between Tina Street and Bayla Street is ongoing. As crews work to complete improvements in this area, access on Mondon Avenue is temporarily limited to local traffic only, as crews work to complete improvements in this area. This work is ongoing and will be conducted weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
As crews work on Imperial Highway, Pioneer Boulevard and Norwalk Boulevard bridges at I-5, one lane in each direction will be closed on each street (at I-5) during the daytime.
In the coming weeks nighttime closures (beginning April 13, 2016) are planned on Pioneer Boulevard and the northbound and southbound I-5 freeway as crews move concrete girders into place for the new Pioneer Boulevard bridge. Pioneer Boulevard will be closed to all through traffic in both directions underneath I-5 (between Imperial Highway and Crewe Street), nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 13 and Thursday, April 14.
In addition, Southbound I-5 freeway and both I-605 freeway connectors to I-5 South, will be completely closed between I-605 and Rosecrans Avenue, from 11 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 to 4 a.m. Thursday, April 14 and from 11 p.m. Thursday, April 14 to 4 a.m. Friday, April 15. These closures are needed as crews work to construct the new Pioneer Boulevard bridge. Crews will be moving 12 new concrete girders into place; the girders will provide the structural foundation for the new bridge. The closure area is highlighted in red on the map below; motorists will be directed to follow the detour route highlighted in blue.
